Historical Early 50's Slingerland Radio King Drum set in white marine pearl. 100% American made in Chicago.
Sizes 24×14 bass, 16x16 floor tom, 13×9 tom, 5 1/2 × 14 snare. 100% Original with 3 straight floor tom legs and two bass drum spurs all with original chrome and rubber feet.
Original complete set rated Very Good ++ to Very Good/ Excellent. This drum set is a very good looking piece of Music History .
The chrome is in very good condition.
The original white marine pearl has just aged to a beautiful light blond. Most of these rare sets have been abused in direct sun or been in smokey clubs, turning a horrid piss yellow. For 60 years old ,she has only some minor beauty marks that can only be seen upon a closer look . There are some small hair line splits in the wrap, some light scuffs and few light scratches in the finish, there are a few lugs that have minor pitting. The snare and floor tom fit Remo heads tightly. ( there are some other head manufactures' that have slightly oversized heads just meant for older drums ). There is a few small spots of discoloration on floor tom in rear near seam and slight discoloration at seams on bass drum. Bass drum seams appear to have had some re-adhesion work done, but have been done very well. All seams appear to be solid and adhered. All hardware is original inside and out, with all the Slingerland Radio King chrome washers in every drum. All Correct Drum set has no modifications no extra drill holes.
