'62 reissue CIJ S Serial (2005-06) TL62B 82TX Fender Telecaster Candy Apple Red USA Texas Specials Absolutely top of the line Telecaster form Fender Japan. Candy Apple Red always looks great on these guitars. She has a lightweight alder body with 3-ply mint green pickguard, full cream body binding, 3 spiral saddles and fender stamped bridge plate. Some really nice tonewoods were used for this one. She has a very dark and dense rosewood fretboard (much darker than usual-looks awesome) with almost red rosewood streaking down it. The maple neck and headstock show some nice grain patterns too. She definitely looks the part. Great Tele weight at 3.5kg. Sonically the USA built Texas Special pickups sound amazing. Plenty of bite and twang and a great Tele action. I really can’t fault this one. Really resonant too when unplugged and feels great to play. She is structurally and electrically sound. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications, she is all factory stock. She’s pre-owned so does have a few signs of being played, a few bumps and little scuffs here and there. Nothing horrendous but not mint condition. Complete with gig bag. A very cool '62 RI Fender CIJ Telecaster, this one is definitely a keeper. The cost of importing something like this from Japan now with the £ so low, shipping and the UK’s massive import taxes would be sky high. Like all my Japanese Fenders this is an individual guitar hand selected by me from Japan, it’s not a sterile new production run guitar bought in bulk from Korea or wherever. No more of these are being built in Japan as Fender have moved production to Mexico to use cheaper labour an cut costs. Don’t miss it, once she's gone she's gone. All my guitars are shipped inside their cases in padded purpose designed tough durable boxes. The guitar will reach you in perfect condition. Message for overseas shipping rates if outside UK/EU.
