THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY AUCTION.  PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND MY POLICIES BEFORE PLACING YOUR BID. Check out my !Be sure to add me to your ! This auction is for a vintage Meyer (New York, USA) mouthpiece for alto saxophone. This is the quintessential bebop mouthpiece as played by countless altoists from the 1960's on, including, most famously, Phil Woods. This one is the more desirable 1960's era 'early NY, USA' version, which has scooped inner side walls like the 1950's Meyer Bros. pieces and features better hand finishing than the 'late NY, USA' pieces from the 1970's. These have a thinner body which makes them more resonant and slightly brighter than previous models. These are very popular with big band players and jazz soloists, as well as studio players and pit orchestra musicians. This one comes in the most popular combination of a #5 tip opening, medium lay, and medium chamber. It is in excellent used condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth, and there are no tooth indentations on the beak. It has not been altered or worked on in any way. It has some light exterior ligature scratches, but that is it. This is a great mouthpiece for players and collectors alike.
