This mandolin is handmade by Gerald Anderson who is a well known luthier who studied under Wayne Henderson, the well known guitar and mandolin builder. It's number 15, made in 1988. The top is red spruce, the back and sides are a very nice flame maple. It has a nice woody sound with clear highs and good sustain. It is modeled after a Lloyd Loar Gibson mandolin. There is the usual wear from 29 years of playing but no repairs or refinishing have been done or needed. Professional quality mandolin. These don't come up for sale very often, so don't miss out. The bridge is a Cumberland Acoustics full contact with a deer antler saddle made by Rosa String Instruments. The saddle enhances the volume and sustain. I will include the original bridge. Case included. Please ask any questions before bidding. If you need it, I can take more pictures. Shipping will be actual cost to destination.
