Fender Japan Import Only '52 Reissue N-Serial MIJ (1995) White Ash/Maple Blonde Telecaster Micawber. Up for grabs is this beautiful non export Blonde Fender '52 Reissue Telecaster Micawber. These early FujiGen white ash Micawbers are one of my favourite ever Japanese made Fenders. They were never exported from Japan. Like all these FujiGen Micawber builds, this beast was constructed from a fantastic resonant solid slab of old heavy white ash. The maple used for the neck, headstock & fretboard is also top quality on this with some great curly maple grain patterns (check out the pics!!!) Fender Japan didn't build too many of them, preferring to stick with the classic single coil '52 design. They are tricky to find nowadays so I always grab them when I see them in Japan. This has all the good stuff and looks factory correct to me with its '52 black single-ply scratchplate, 6 solid brass saddles, solid machined brass bridge, Fender stamped neck plate & Gotoh tuners. Not quite as heavy as most of these at just over 9Ib (most go well over 10Ib). She's got her awesome sounding factory fitted Dragster in the neck and traditional TL vintage in the bridge. She is all factory original right down to the single ply black scratchplate.  Plays beautifully with a nice smooth forgiving action & I really enjoyed the pup combination on this one. Plenty of cleans on the TL vintage with the humbucker sounding warm and very un-Japanese like! Lots of tele twang and crunch when needed.  She si structurally and electrically fine with the maple neck is dead straight, truss rod turning and plenty of life in the frets. No mods or non factory routing etc.  She is well over 20 years old now so she does have some honest vintage wear. The brass bridge has a nice dull patina all over it, as does the control plate and the humbucker cover looks awesome! Nothing shiny on this guitar!  The body has a bit of scuffing and some scratches. If I’m overly fussy the volume & control knobs have a very slight uneven twist to them, nothing serious at all, it’s so slight you don’t even feel it when turning them,  but worth mentioning. There is also a little nick in the maple on the 11th fret. It’s all good vintage Tele mojo though as far as I’m concerned. Comes with gig bag.  If you are looking for a beautifully crafted vintage mojo-laden Fender Micawber grab this one, you wont be disappointed.
