After its introduction as the Broadcaster in 1950, and a brief stint as the Nocaster until early the following year, the Fender Telecaster finally settled on its current name in late 1951, cementing the beginning of a legendary ascent to the pinnacle of solid body guitars. This classic guitar lives on in many forms, but Fender has set the benchmark for affordable solid-bodies with the Standard Telecaster. Built with an alder body, this timeless guitar comes with two standard single-coil telecaster pickups that deliver the distinctive Tele twang with the help of a 3-position switch and master volume and tone controls. It features a comfortable modern “C” shape maple neck, medium jumbo frets, and a 6-saddle, strings-through-body bridge. Complete with a variety of slick and durable polyester finishes, you can own a piece of guitar history without making your savings account a thing of the past.
