For sale is a stunning early-90's Peavey Generation S-2! The MSRP for this rare guitar was over $1,300 in the 90's, and this one is excellent condition. Only 1 owner and well-maintained / case preserved throughout it’s lifetime. It features a beautiful flamed maple top, a solid mahogany body, a USA Kahler Spyder locking tremolo, a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, a matching flamed headstock, abalone inlays, active Peavey pickups and all original parts and electronics. The tremolo bar isn't included, but you can grab them brand new for $29 at wammiworld.com. Ships in its original Peavey hardshell case to ensure this guitar will last a lifetime.The back of the neck reads 'handcrafted in USA' and that's immediately apparent in the guitar's quality, and tone. The amber top and natural binding is stunning, complimented by a gorgeous burgundy back. The versatility of this guitar is unmatched. The tonal range is driven by a Peavey active single coil pickup in the neck position and a Peavey actice humbucker in the bridge position. The 3-way selector switch ensures smooth transition from every style from blues to country to rock. The neck is straight, and the frets show very little play wear. New strings and battery installed. This is the guitar that evolved into the Steve Cropper Signature Model. These guitars are hard to find.
