(English) ***1958*** Gibson ES-125!!!!! A great addition to any guitar collection. Introducing the magnificent 1958 Gibson ES-125. This guitar is in outstanding condition for the year. Very hard to believe that it’s almost 60 years old! It’s always been properly taken care of and maintained. It is 100% original, right down to the electronics, the pickup, the tuner etc…never been modified in any way. It has never been broken or repaired….completely intact. The neck is straight and the truss rod is functional. The guitar always stays in tune, and it’s currently on ‘’flatwound’’ strings which sound extremely jazzy. It’s construction is entirely of mahogany, except for it’s maple top and a rosewood fretboard. As pictures show, it has a beautiful sunburst on it, which has some light cracks on the clear finish (when seen from close), which is completely normal for a guitar of that age. Also there is some wear on the back of the neck but it does not affect playability. Guitar is sold with a hard case (not the original one) that is in good condition. Tres difficile de croire que l’on parle d’une guitare qui a presque 60 ans! Cette guitare a toujours bien été maintenue, et elle n’a jamais vu des bars ou des salles de spectacles, ce qui explique sa superbe condition esthetique d’aujourd’hui. Elle est aussi 100% originale……l’electronique, son pickup, ses clefs, etc….tout est de compagnie et elle n’a jamais été modifiée. Elle est aussi 100% fonctionnelle. Elle n’a jamais subie de cassure ou de réparation ou quoi que ce soit. Son ‘’truss rod’’ est fonctionnel, et elle est présentement montée sur des cordes ‘’Flatwound’’ qui lui donne un son tres ‘’jazz’’. Sa fabrication est entierement d’acajou, mise-a-part du top qui est en érable et de son ‘’fretboard’’ qui est en palissandre (rosewood). Comme les photos démontrent, elle a un tres beau sunburst a fini lustré, qui contient quelques craquelures légeres normales, due au fait qu’elle a déjà 60 ans (visible seulement de proche). Elle a aussi de l’usure en arriere de son manche, mais rien qui affecte la jouabilité. La guitare est vendue avec un case dur (qui n’est pas l’original) qui est aussi en bonne condition.
