Hello there! We have been asked many times to bring high quality but more affordable instruments than we usually sell and here is it...)Up for sale is a beautiful Domra instrument with stunning flamed maple back. It's handmade by one of the great modern instrument makers, Andrikovski. This instrument is brand new and was completed on February 2017. The Domra is made of aged, premium woods, naturally dried (not kiln-dried) flame maple; the body top is resonant spruce; the neck is a combination of woods with hornbeam neck and hornbeam fingerboard (carpinus). This instrument has some weight in it, so if you believe in heavier woods - here's your change to buy one.
Please don't be fooled by it's price - in terms of sound and build quality this instrument comes close to way more expensive custom Domras made by Mukhin (contact us for pricing), while costing less than a half of it's price. While being priced as "a student's domra" it features far superior materials when compared to the other instruments in it's price range available in stores. This instrument has a has a deep and warm timbre and you can definitely use it for study, participate to the orchestras or perform at your solo concerts.
This instrument may not have have a fancy exterior as our custom "top level" instruments but it's beautiful as it is and I'm sure that this instrument will serve you as a workhorse through your career. As you may know, even if wooden musical instruments has exact same look/same construction and even if 2 similar looking instruments are taken from "one run" - it still can sound different from each other. All instruments that we sell are chosen and selected by maestro Alexander Tsygankov himself (my dad, who is People's artist of the Russian Federation and a professor at Gnesin's Academy of Music).My dad is always auditioning our instruments prior we put it on Ebay and I'm very picky when it comes to construction quality as I was dealing with production of boutique custom electric guitars for all of my life.
