Product Description The 50th Anniversary "1962" Sheraton E212T Outfit features the original early ‘60s Sheraton profile with a laminated maple body with period correct binding with 7-layer white/black binding on the top and 3-layer black/white binding on the back. The mahogany neck has a 1960s SlimTaper™ profile. The rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid and Abalone Block and Triangle inlays, and Grover™ "kidney" style machine heads with a 14:1 ratio on a dovewing 3-on-a-side headstock with pearloid vine inlay. What was refurbished on this guitar: When this guitar came in from the factory, there was a minor crack in the neck at the neck/headstock joint. The crack was expertly repaired by the refurbisher - completely sealed and re-finished. There is some noticeable darkening in the finish where the repair was made, as the neck had to be re-sprayed (see photo). Otherwise, there is no evidence of the repair. As well, the stock tortoiseshell pickguard was missing from the guitar, so the refurbisher installed a 3-ply white pickguard in its place. No other repairs or modifications were made to the guitar. Aside from these issues, it looks and plays like new. Back of the headstock is stamped "used" and original serial # has been replaced with a new one.
