"Custom Shop"......it's a term that honestly gets abused these days! But not at Schecter in California!
These guys have a real deal custom shop, and although most folks aren't aware of it, guitars like this one are actually the roots of the Schecter guitar lineage! Just check out the guitar that Mark Knopfler played on "sultans of swing" album!Nonetheless, this baby is called the "Wembly" edition of schecters traditional model. It features a real nitrocellulose finish that has been aged, a wonderful set of handwound "gilmouresque" single coils, aged hardware, parchment pickgaurd, and a vintage style "skunk stripe" soft C shaped neck.
What does all of this mean??? A killer "closet classic" styled custom shop guitar that sounds incredible!!! Look closely at the finish, because this is Lake Placid Blue, but it has a very light checking that you can only see in certain lighting. It's not beat to death like some so-called "relic" guitars, it's just a tasteful aging that would've likely occured in a guitar of the 1960's that had a real Nitro finish.Music49 Special ordered this guitar in this particular configuration. To our knowledge, this guitar is the only one built in this color, with these pickups in a "Wembly" Edition. So essentially, we believe that this one is "one-off".
