Here we have a Gibson Les Paul Classic (Ace Frehley) with 3 hum buckers and new Gibson hard flightcase. Looking at the serial number on the Gibson site, this guitar dates from 1967. The neck was damaged but was professionally repaired, keeping the guitar as original as possible. It looks as if the tuning heads were updated at some point in its past. The guitar has an awesome sound and the action is delightful; such an easy guitar to play. These guitars usually go for 2 to 3 thousand pounds plus. As this guitar was damaged and repaired the reserve price has been lowered. Please check the photos out as I have tried to include any blemishes and the repair.Would prefer cash on collection but postage can be arranged if needed.Happy biddingNo returns
On 11-Mar-17 at 18:21:26 GMT, seller added the following information:I have received a couple of emails raising concerns whether the guitar is an Ace Frehley or not. All I know is that it seems very old and is a genuine Gibson Les Paul made in the USA. Any inspection most welcome.
On 12-Mar-17 at 10:00:55 GMT, seller added the following information:This morning I popped into PMT Birmingham to get the guitar checked out by a Gibson specialist. He informs me that this guitar is a 2003 Classic 60's reissue. I was offered 900 for it then and there. I will let the auction continue though.
