Olivia's Vintage would like to present this 1973 Rickenbacker 4001 in its original Jetglo finish with CHECKERBOARD binding, wavey Grover tuning keys, and original "toaster" pickup. This bass had been routed and wired for two additional Jazz Bass style pickups. We have removed the non-original pickups and covered the routes using a new pickguard, and fabricated a black plastic plate that is over the lower route (it is glued to a Jazz Bass pickup cover that is screwed in there, and not glued to the body itself). Both pickups are original to this bass. It has a great playing neck with good frets. All parts are original with the exception of the pickguard (the original routed pickguard is included), black plastic plate glued over the lower route, the switch, jacks (originals are included), and some of the wiring. A later hardshell case is including. This vintage '73 4001 looks great with nicks + dings (some are touched-up), minor belt buckle wear, and other cosmetic wear including one slightly bent strap button. The bass itself remains structurally sound. All electronics work and sound great, but it's wired so both volume controls will work in any position.
