If the Martin Style 5K is the ultimate vintage uke for collectors,the Style 3K has to be the ultimate vintage ukulele for players!The stamp at the back of the headstock dates this to pre-1932,and the patent tuners date it to post-1925, so it's late 20's or early 30's.This one is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairsand hardly any play wear. Original finish has almost no checkingand only a few tiny "dings" and light scratches to show its age.(The scratches are so small, they hardly show up in the photos, but if youwatch the demo video, you may be able to see them at certain angles.)Ivoroid parend ("shield") at the base of the top, diamond fret markers,and the distinctive "skunk stripe" down the middle of the ebony fretboard. The koa bridge is in excellent condition and holds strings well.Early patent tuning pegs stay in tune, and are easy to use.This 80-year-old uke has the original bar frets, and plays like butter.Amazing volume and bass for a soprano, with great tone balance.These 3K's don't come up often in this condition, especially with the original case in excellent condition, so if you want it, don't delay!
