Eastman AC 522 Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar with Original Hardshell Case Price: $749.00 Holy smokes does this thing play like it's on fire (it's not actually). It's constructed beautifully with a solid Englemann Spruce top, solid mah0gany back, sides, and neck, ebony fingerboard and hand-carved scalloped bracing internally. A real example of the craftsmanship can be seen on the diamond volute on the back of the neck, the diamond being carved very methodically out of just one of the two pieces of wood in the scarf joint. Tonally this this is a monster. It takes very little for the wind to take to it's back and sail with momentum. It plays with low action without compromised tone and is very balanced tonally and physically to boot. There is some finish cracking on the top but nothing that is structually damaging to it. This model is being sold as a display model with the original hardshell case and manufacturer's warranty. This is truly, pound for pound, one of the nicest acoustics we've seen come through here in some time.
