This is a well cared for (since I've owned it at least, I'm not its first owner) used professional bass trombone with dual independent triggers and a 10in bell, in great playing condition. There are some minor cosmetic issues, mostly with lacquer wear, but no dents that I've been able to locate so far (feel free to take a look at the pics). The lacquer is 80-90% or better on most of the horn, but there are a few slightly larger spots/lacquer issues along the outter edge of the bell (I think my gig bag might have been responsible for that over time, I'm not 100% sure the cause). I tried to get the best pictures I could of the areas in question. The problem spots aren't visible from an audience perspective really, just facing you while you're playing...so it was not a major concern for me, but if you want to get the lacquer repaired, I wouldn't imagine it would be a major job. Functionally speaking, everything is fine shape...this horn has served me well at a plethora of gigs over the past 4 years or so, mostly for outside or street band gigs. It's perfectly good for sit-down uses (jazz or orchestral performances), but might be best served for more "active" performances where one might not want to take a more "pristine" bass horn. Great for marching or collegiate bands, parades, street performances, etc.Slide action is smooth, all tuning slides and rotors have good movement, and I had the horn inspected and professionally cleaned just a couple of weeks ago (it has been kept in its case and not played since). The horn sounds and plays great, and the only reason I'm selling it is because I currently own 2 bass trombones and can afford to let this one go.The case is structurally sound with a few minor scuffs from the last time I flew to a festival gig (see pics). These might be something you could buff away (can't be sure), but is purely cosmetic and not something I've given much attention to myself. This trombone is sold with pretty much everything seen in the photos (original case, the horn, slide cleaning rod) and I'll probably include some other cleaning or lubrication accessories as well (which I forgot to include the in photos)...or I can leave that out if you prefer. Also included is a single large bore mouthpiece (although 2 can be seen in the pics)...it's the original Yamaha 57 mouthpiece (which I believe is comparable with a Bach 1.5G or 2G, but can't be sure. I've tried to research this online but haven't found a good source.)It's a respectable mouthpiece, but if the mouthpiece is deal breaker for you or something, let me know...I have 4 large bore mouthpieces and we can discuss swapping in a different one perhaps. Just send me a message.Message me if you have any questions or would like more information.I purchased this instrument for about $2000 a few years ago, but with the lacquer wear and case scuffing, have decided to bring the price down a bit. Feel free to make an offer if you like...All reasonable offers will of course be considered.
