This Sierra Olympic is really beautiful, and I like how it sounds and feels. I bought it from a guy in CA who intended to learn and never did, and he bought it from an older gentleman who had made some copedent modifications. With the INVALUABLE help of Lane Gray, I learned how to work on the thing, and with parts from Jim Palenscar, I got the C6 neck put back together with the exception of the knee lever. I have the rod and a single hole bell crank, but didn't get it done at the right time in the process and can't bear disassembly now after I got everything else back together. I'll apologize in advance to the next owner for my lack of consistency on the rod spacers... This pedal steel comes with a few loose end rods and spacers, as well as a few extra barrel nuts for the rods, and the aforementioned single-hole crank. Also comes with 3 other swappable pickups. I've just left the ones in that came with it, as they sound good to me. While the guitar looks great from a few feet away, I've found evidence of wear. Some fading and scratches on the fingerboard, and a dent where a bar must have dropped. There's some well-applied black accent tape on some of the edges that's probably covering wear. There's a bent spacer? on the C6 changer and one changer on the E9 has some damage, but it doesn't affect the tone or playability. Big and heavy, but extremely well built. I really love the swinging leg design so you don't have to do the tedious screw in/out. Comes with a sturdy case with 3 handles and optional casters (removed for shipping) if you prefer wheeling to carrying. T
