Great headless bass, top of the range made by Yamaha in the mid to late 80s.Excellent design throughout, an improvement on the original Steinberger design.Better tuning mechanism and you can use any strings you want due to the allen key clamping system at the head end.Currently strung with Dunlop nickel wounds , low tension, nice and bright with planty of life in them.Set up with nice straight neck, low string height and perfect intonation.Truss rod works perfectly and is easy to adjust, allen key included.String spacing is tighter than the Fender standard of 19mm, feels like 17 or 17.5.I'll measure it and update this info.Nice neck, easy to play and balances well due to the upper horn , really light too.Comes with strap locks and quality suede leather strap.Original fittted hard case (roadworn but sound) More pics to follow tonight.Great for giging , teaching and compact for travelingLamminated maple/mahagany through neckEbony fingerboard 24 fretsMahogany body wingsTwo humbuckers with global coil tap on the push/push tone control. In single coil mode the tone is very similar to a jazz bass. The neck pickup in humbucking mode is very P bass like, fat, beefy and loud!Passive bass vol, vol, tone with push/push coil tap.A few marks and signs of age here and there but sound throughout.Really great high end headless bass with traditional classic wood tones.I've got too many basses as always so this needs to find a new owner who's going to use it as it deserves, too good to be sat in it's case.A very rare , quality 80s bass in all original condition in fitted hardcase.Priced to sell, these can go for a lot more and usually have to be imported from Japan or the USA with additional shipping and import duty costs.Any questions, ask away.
