Description: This is one fully discrete transformer balanced Neve 3104 microphone/line preamplifier module
with HP/LP Filters and Three Band Parametric parametric equalizer mounted in a proprietary
high quality custom 19” / 1RU metal case - NEW. No time, efforts nor money was spared designing and building this case. The module was fully serviced, all electrolytic and tantalum capacitors were replaced, tested and calibrated. The sound of this box is simply spectacular to say the least! The microphone preamplifier stage is fully discrete, transformer balanced (with Marinair T 1454 microphone input transformer). with sensitivity from –70 to -10dB switchable by ELMA selector switch in 5 dB steps. The gain switch is stopped at -70 dB. The line input is transformer balanced as well with Marinair T 1452. It is switchable from -10dB to +10dB in 5 dB steps.
This module employs very sophisticated parametric equalizer with HP/LP filters. High Pass/Low Pass filters are with Butterworth characteristics and 12dB slope.
Frequency range is switchable from 27 to 270Hz (for the HPF) at 27, 47, 82, 150 and 270Hz and
3.9 to 18kHz (for the LPF) at 3.9, 5.6, 8.2, 12 and 18 kHz . The high frequency equalizer is boosting/cutting (+/-) 16dB at 5 frequencies (3.3, 4.7, 6.8, 10 and 15 kHz).
Characteristic is “shelving”. The Q factor for of peaking curve is 1. The mid frequency equalizer is boosting/cutting (+/-) 16dB at 10 frequencies (270, 390, 560, 820Hz, 1.2, 1.8, 2.7, 3.9, 5.6 and 8.2 kHz). The low frequency equalizer is boosting/cutting (+/-) 16dB at 5 frequencies (33. 56, 100, 180 and 330 Hz).
Characteristic is “shelving”. The Q factor for of peaking curve is 1. Phase reverse and EQ in/out (not illuminated) are fitted on the bottom of the module. The other two switches (on the bottom) are not connected. They appear on the connector of the module for additional switching (relays, lights) is required when the module is used in a console.
