Used, but still in good shape!!! Just some normal cosmetic wear on this beauty!!! There are some chips, scratches and scuffs on various spots (pictured) on the body but nothing too major!!! Guitar has been tested and still sounds fantastic!!! There are some light lacquer cracks throughout that don't show up in the photos but that is to be expected on a guitar that is over 40 years old. Only noticeable when shining reflecting light directly on the body!!! The 1/4" output jack also seems to be a bit loose. Yanking a cord out of it will dislodge it but that can be easily fixed and doesn't affect playability at all!!! The pickguard may have been replaced or added on at some point as this is the only clear pickguard I've seen on this model. Typically, it bears a solid white pickguard bearing the Gretsch logo. This gorgeous guitar was first introduced in 1971 and was presented as the successor to the highly successful Gretsch Duo Jet!!! This new Roc Jet model was outfitted with a 1- 3 way toggle switch, two volume knobs, two tone knobs and 1 master volume knob to give you total control over your sound!!! All knobs and switches work perfectly and the Super-Tron II humbucker pickups provide the warm rich sound that you only get from a true Gretsch guitar!!! Body is comprised of a mahogany body with a maple cap and a set mahogany neck!!! The bound ebony fingerboard features 22 frets with MOP thumbprint markers!!! This guitar's make is based on the iconic Gibson Les Paul body design and with the glossy Mercedes Black finish, will look incredible whether in a garage or on a stage!!! Made in 1973 (Baldwin Era) in the USA by Gretsch, one of the most respected names in quality guitars throughout the world!!! You can't go wrong with this one!!!
