c.1890-1910 CONCERTINA BANDONEON C A WUNDERLICH GERMANY EXTREMELY ORNATE & NICE
Estimated price for orientation: 1 556 $
Category: Concertinas
Class:
Description Brand: C A WUNDERLICH Country/Region of Manufacture: Germany Exact Year: 1890-1910
This is a beautiful Concertina Bandoneon from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It was made in Germany by C. A. Wunderlich in Siebenbrunn, Germany. This is a 52 key instrument. I do not believe that this was your average bandoneon as it is extremely ornate with mother of pearl inlay against black ebony throughout the piece even around the end piece borders (see pics). It has those green transluscent bellows that appear to be in excellent shape with no holes that we could find. It plays with a beautiful sound and is in extremely nice condition. It was not played that much as is evident in the photos. This comes in it's original case with all latches and a nice leather handle. There are also several pieces of sheet music. The small green book has 80 pages and it is dated 1905. Now for the small issues. There is one key that I noticed does have its' mother of pearl top missing and another is standing a little higher than the rest. There is a small triangle shaped inlay corner that is missing (easy repair), but the rest of it looks outstanding. There is some wear to the nickel on one end of the instrument in the last photo. The rest of this instrument shows very high quality craftsmanship and very minimal wear. I would grade this instrument a solid 9 on a 1-10 scale and it should probably be in a museum or high quality instrument collectors' hands. We will ship this item FREE in the US and for $200.00 US for international shipping. Thanks for viewing...............Triple K
