To me, the GOYA G-30 is the ultimate classical or folk guitar. ALL SOLID HARDWOODS THROUGHOUT. Flamed m-a-p-l-e on back and sides, solid Swedish s-p-r-u-c-e on top. This particular guitar is AWESOME because the action at the 12th fret is as low as an electric guitar. How well built is a neck (with no truss rod) if it hasn't moved a bit since 1972?...... Exactly. The handsome 3 piece stringer going down the middle of the neck must have done it's job over the years keeping the neck straight. The tuners are working perfectly and fluidly as well. Geez, so few build guitars with this exceptional quality any more. I've collected a number of G-30's and G-10's over the years. This guitar is the BEST SHAPE G-30 I've ever seen. (especially with that low low action)By the way, when looking up the serial number at the Goya Levin website, I discovered that the last known Levin built G-30 was serial number #55663. When i read this, I exclaimed out loud "HEY THAT'S MY SERIAL NUMBER"!  Indeed, it turns out that THIS IS THAT EXACT SAME GUITAR. That's right - It's all there on their website (see below). This may be the very last individual G-30 ever built by Levin. Not only that - It's a beauty. Sounds beyond gorgeous. These were re-labeled by DUDE INC. during the final days of Levin's manufacturing. Read all about it at: FOR VERIFICATION, GO TO;
http://www.vintage-guitars.se/Levin/Goya_G-30_GG-30_info.htmCONDITION: I would say a strong 8.5 out of 10. The normal lacquer checking on finish, a couple of minor surface slits on spruce that don't go all the way through top. They could easily be putty filled and lacquered over. ALL SEAMS TIGHT - ALL BRACES TIGHT - NO WARPING NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. No buckle rash or bad chips or anything like that. Just some removable scuff marks maybe. So if you wish to invest in greatness - this is your chance... These are already costing around $1,500 to obtain, and can only go up in value. Collector or not, just playing this beauty is as good as it gets. I am looking around for a case or bag to help ship it in, but whether or not I find one, it will be packed like only a pro would pack it, and insured for the value paid. International buyers welcomed. If I were buying this beauty, I would be on the search for an original Goya case with purple plush interior. This fine fine guitar is actually too rich for my blood...  I tend to be hard on instruments (kids and dogs running around etc), it should go to a home where something as valuable as this is will be honored and maintained.
