2014 Lemonburst Gibson custom shop R8-this guitar currently has a set of brand new alnico pro 2's but will come with the originals in the case, pickguard and all case candy. Plays amazing through every amp I've plugged into. very slash like. Fan or not this guitar is killer.This guitar is amazing and it absolutely pains me to sell it but I'm into amps right now and if I get something I have to let something go. I'm certain I will regret it. I am the second owner, this R8 was part of Gibson's "made to measure" program and has a push pull pots installed that came with the guitar, they were disconnected when the new pickups were installed but makes this guitar a bit unique for an R8, they can be easily reconnected if you would like the coil split option. The neck is also similar to a 59 and is not quite as thick as a typical R8. There is also some nice flame and personality to the top which I think make it stand out from the typical R8. I've had several people think it was a R9- with a realistic and very vintage looking top. The finish on the 2014's are amazing, the aniline dye on the back and neck is absolutely stunning. This guitar weighs in around 8.5ish pounds and is perfect for a les paul, super resonant and sounds amazing. These things are getting insanely expensive and i searched for months before finding this one. It's an amazing guitar. has straplocks installed and a nicely colored dark fretboard. There is some very light play wear and one small ding I tried to capture in the photos, otherwise awesome condition. The case is in perfect shape.
