JUST IN 3/11/17Recently ServicedSounds FantasticAs far as we can tell this model was made 1959-1961It has old (probably) original Mullards in the top section directly beneath the Controls. This one is in Rare Two Tone Aqua Blue and Golden Brown. Tolex generally in pretty awesome condition, some small issues to be expected for a 67 year old Grandaddy like this.Perfect amp for some gutsy player looking to make an impact on a recording or studio with Transcending Tone. You don’t have to have balls to play this amp but if you don’t, you will grow a pair right quick as soon as you turn the dial up. The more you dig in, the more it delivers, it repays you with groan, moan growl and howl. I just can’t get a bad sound or setting outta this! You like syrupy tone? This has tone for Days. This is a consignment item. This amp has recently been serviced in LI. It was found in a junk shop who received from an estate sale.  (Over at our freinds “The Thing” in BK) Damn I wish I had seen it first. Guess what? It sounds absolutely incredible, The Beefy Transformers push tone so meaty it’s palatable.  Berringer? Bacon bits!Vox?  Fender? Chopped ham in a blenderAmp? SPAMpeg!Marshall? Ofal! If you like a Marshall JCM800 you will hate this amp. Just saying, it's obviously not for metal, but will do Led Zep no prob. This is for Rockabilly, Hard Rock. Easily for Saturated Blues. The kinda amp that plays itself. Seriously, put the jaw to Drop and the Gun to Stun brother. I would even go as far as to say it’s untreal to the surreal. Usually you see a handsome amp, especially a 15” and you’re usually, “OK sound checks good”. This however, is Hmmm Wow nice Tolex, Made in England? Not expecting much...Let's turn it on and plug in, which you will immediacy sound like Sam Kinison: "Oh! Holy Sh#t this thing Kills! OMFG listen to THAT! Oh!” To my ears defintely one of the best sounding amps to ever come through the shop in 8 years. Probally one of the top 10  best sounding amps of it’s class I have heard in my entire life. This is just my two cents and is a subjective statement of course, but this darn thing sounds goood no matter Where you put the controls. Now it does have character, it’s not say the cleanest amp by any means esp. when cranked, but yes it’s "cleanish" in general. But that’s why I like it. It’s got charater at low and extreme (but not modern extreme) character when cranked  and sorta cranked. NO PEDALS NEEDED. Note: Except maybe a tremolo as the tremolo does not work. (typical) The tone just pushes through in a definite “good to my ears” way at Lo and High. It sounds fabulous. The amount of tones you can get out of this amp is rediculous in a way no modern amp that I am aware of can quite get close to. Not at these levels and not in really much any way what-so-ever. We’ve heard combo amps that sound great. But this amp stands out Majorly as a meaty pure tone hard to describe It just has great rippin tone period. Probably alot has to do with the original Rare FANE 15" speaker. After hearing this one, Now I am a huge fan and will be seeking out more Fanes and taking a closer look at the amp component line-up to fully understand what this amp is really about. Yesterday I was intrigued by Selmer amps, now after hearing this, I’m a devoted fan and it’s now on my to do list. Get a Selmer! I dare you to miss this great find and pass on this one whether you’re in the market or Not. Sort of a no brainer especially for a studio or loft. OK more than enough, See the video, the tone speaks for itself. Selmers were payed by the Beatles, The Shadows Led Zep I think
Handle is in tact. Missing rear back panel- could be easily replaced. We would rather buyer pick up from our storefront location. However we will happily have shipped just give us a reasonable amount of time to carefully pack and send. This Selmer combo map is 22.5" X 10".5 X 19.5" This amp is guaranteed not DOA however we re not accepting returns on this amp. We have done our best to describe the condition of this amp. Please do your research BEFORE you buy, Kind Regards and GOOD LUCK!
