Mid-1970s Gibson SG Special - 2 x Mini Humbucker, OHSC, Good Original ConditionPlease look carefully at the pics as they form part of the description. In good, player's condition - bumps, marks, some buckle-rash, checking to the lacquer & a chip out of the headstock, but lots of mojo too!The body is made of walnut, originally in a cherry red finish, but now largely faded to a rich dark brown, particularly on the top (front),. There's some tarnishing & loss of chrome finish on the tailpiece, and some minor corrosion on some of the pickup surround screws. The lacquer finish is extensively crazed, but overall I'd say it's in good, honest condition for a guitar that's clearly been played, and is over 40 years old!Unusually for an SG Special, the guitar has block MOP (mother of pearl) position markers on the fretboard (as opposed to dot markers), which are generally only found on Standard & Custom models. This is a feature of SG's made between approx. 1974-1976. Similarly, the mini humbuckers are only found on a relative few Gibson models (e.g. the Gibson Firebird and these mid-70s SG's to name two), making this a much less common spec instrument.Imported by me directly from the USA around 10-12 years ago. Here's the spec:solid bodyset neckmini humbucker x 2metal Gibson Deluxe 'tulip' tuners / machine heads22 fretsMOP block fret position markers3-way pickup switchSold as seen.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I accept payment by postal order, cheque, bank transfer and Paypal. All my items are sent using a signed for service.
