Attention Ovation lover's! Looking for a real USA made Ovation at a good price? Read on! This is 1994 Collector's Series ( Electric/Acoustic ) for sale with only one original owner. Sitka Spruce top, mid-depth body, cutaway. Ebony fret-board and tuner buttons, with '1994' inlaid at the 12th fret accompanied by a walnut bridge. Made in USA. On-board EQ & pre-amp w/notch filter. Absolutely Stunning and plays like a dream.I have encountered alot of USA Ovation guitars. Whilst some have been Great, others have been... well lets say... darn right terrible. Other enthusiasts share the notion that ovation's in particular have a unique build structure which require a good level of care from the owner. As with most vintage acoustics, the necks may need Adjusting, the Bridge may need leveling, and the nuts may need reshaping. it just seems that ovation guitars are more vulnerable due to the materials used and their unique design. It gives me great pleasure to inform you that this Guitar has been well taken care off. In fact, I doubt this guitar has seen more then 50 hours playtime. Apart from being a exceedingly rare model its in absolute mint condition with no wear or marks of any kind. I had to contact and send pictures to Ovation Themselves to get more information about this guitar. The hard case, of course, goes with it. With regards to Playability? Its wider but not deeper than the other model's, so it's a bit roomier for your fingertips, without feeling any more cumbersome. Its all feels very slick too, in that dry satin kind of way. There's incredible bass resonance from the 12-fret, particularly around the bottom E and F, where it's almost overwhelming. The mid-range is also a potent driving force, but remains even-contoured and clear voiced. At the top end, there's a hard, spicy edge. Their's a considerable boost in volume and general beefing up of the whole sound. Very nice Indeed.While this provides the piercing attack for every note you pluck, top-string high notes also exhibit thick, sweet-sounding undertones that add sustain and musical energy as far up as you can play. You can literally play anywhere on this instrument with equally good results. Overall, Ovation guitars have become favorites of many players looking for great quality at a great price.
