Fine 19th century violoncello, labelled "Joannes Franciscus Pressenda q Raphael Taurini anno Domini 1840", the two piece back of medium curl with similar wood to the sides and head, the table of a fine width grain and the varnish of a light brown colour on a golden ground. Whole length 1220 mm, back length 762 mm, full size. The cello is ready to play with good ebony set up and good master made bridge. The strings are old. Very nice old beautiful sounding cello in ready to play condition.
