Description

Up for auction is an all original 1965 Fender Blackface Bassman piggyback with the original cabinet and tiltback legs. Even the tubes are original. It's in nice vintage condition and in good working order. It has some cosmetic wear as you might expect for its age, but it looks great overall. I dated this by referencing the various serial numbers on the components. As you can see from the pictures, the tube diagram is mostly worn away. The circuit should be an AB165 according to the dates. As I stated earlier, it's very original. I'd recommend having it serviced before playing. It still features a two prong plug which should be upgraded at the same time.Info from The Web:

The Fender Bassman is a legendary guitar amp known to both guitar and bass players. It was introduced in 1951, primarily targeted for bass guitar players and promoted as a bass amp for the Fender Precision Bass guitar, the first mass-produced electric bass guitar ever. It really gained notoriety as a guitar amp not a bass amp. The bluesy tone was just perfect for guitar but as a bass amp, it was a little under powered. The Bassman is known for its simple, pure and raw tone. It is 50w loud with power supply and output transformers. The Bassman bass channel features a deep switch that can remove the lowest frequencies, which is practical when you’re playing loud and using different speaker cabinets where you need to adjust the lower bass. The normal channel is more relevant for guitar players.
