Roland RE-301 Please READ ALL detailed information before bidding.  US 48 ONLY!  NO international shipping comes with original vinyl Roland cover, Roland FS-1 foot-switch, five new tape loops (from orbit electronics and GRS), Nakamichi Head Demagnetizer, Nikken Magnetic Sensor, Roland rear metal cable wrap brackets (I removed them because they were super ugly.  Four screws (included) will pop them back on), and original Roland interior plastic cleaning bag.  The unit is set up for US power.
Probably the cleanest Roland Echo unit you'll ever find anywhere.  There is no surface oxidition anywhere. I'll assume that if you are looking at this auction and would consider this an investment to your equipment, you know what the Roland RE-301 does. Recently serviced from Orbit electronics with parts from Echo-fix.  Motor rebuild/Electronics cleaned, re-capped and calibrated/ Ten 1/4" jacks replaced/New LED bulb for VU meter/Demagnetized/New 'Orange' rubber pinch roller/Felts/etc.  The pots are clean with the exception of the intensity pot.  It has a little scratchiness if you turn it past noon really fast (my suggestion... Don't turn it past noon really fast.  When they serviced it last they must have not shot enough pot cleaner in it).  The Echo works in all the modes.  Chorus and Reverb also work fine.  Peak Level light works.  VU Meter lights and works.  All dB levels function properly.  Sound on Sound works.  All effects remotes work.I spent over a year looking for the best quality Space Echo I could find.  EVERYTHING I saw on Ebay or Reverb was total crap.  Sellers were saying their Space Echo's were mint and like new.  All I saw was rust and junk.  They would show one out of focus picture and say it came with a new tape loop.  UGHH!  Notice any single picture Space Echo auctions???I finally found this unit from California and paid $1500 for it.  It was the best unit out there literally.  Studio controlled environment and very little use.  It had most of the original protective stickers on the dials and was absolutely clean inside.  The seller said there were some blemishes and dings on the tolex and it would not need any maintenance.  Whether you decide to go with this unit or not, here's a friendly tip.  Every unit will need a significant amount of maintenance to get it back to a high performance level.  If someone says it doesn't... they are lying.  Rubber pinch rollers dry rot/ electronics need to be evaluated and gone over/ motors need to be rebuilt/ etc.  Time can really beat the hell out of these mechanical units.  My suggestion is to at least find a unit with a super clean interior.  It's the best place you can start.I spent over $400 on parts and service to get the Roland RE-301 running like new.  What sucked was the amount of time it took to keep sending back and forth around the country.  UGHH #2!I'm including a Nakamichi Head Demagnetizer and Nikken Magnetic Sensor that can come in pretty handy when changing your tape loops.  I'm not giving any lessons on how to use them but information is available out on the net.  I would also recommend keeping some Q-tips and 91% alcohol around to clean metal posts and the heads between loop changes.  Soap and water on the pinch roller only (removed of course).  I figure I spent about $300 on the Demagnetizer/Loops/ NOS-Roland foot-switch/ Magnetic sensor.I cannot possible guarantee 100% functionality when it arrives.  It is a vintage piece of equipment that needs maintenance and love.  I've honestly detailed out (to the best of my knowledge) it's history and the work done on it.  My Ebay feedback is 100%.   I'm a little sad to see this one go.  I put a lot of energy into getting it back to high performance.  But life says I need to phase out a few pieces of equipment.
The Roland RE-301 will be double boxed (keep it you'll need it for future servicing).  Once again US 48 ONLY!  NO international shipping
