1979 Fender Stratocaster body made of Northern Ash and finished in off-white. This body is quite heavy, being nearly 5 lbs on my scale, but appears to be in great condition for its age. There are a few dents and dings, the worst of them noted in the pictures. The finish is shiny and you can see the slight discoloration where the pickguard and bridge were mounted. It comes with the tilt-adjust plate for the neck, but not the neck plate or screws. I played this for a bit while it was a whole, original guitar, the sound was very big and solid, with very long sustain to all of the notes. A terrific sounding Strat actually. I am selling it for a friend and he's keeping the neck, pickups, and hardware to swap onto a lighter Alder replica body. I can get the original serial number if anyone is curious. The light wear under the bridge shows this Strat was hardly played at all. Buy with confidence, this will be securely shipped on the day of payment.
