Hello - let me start of by saying that when I first saw this stunning guitar i had that gut wrenching feeling in my stomach of "i have to have it!!" - this really is a stunner and i think some of these slightly older (2012) relics wipe the floor with a lot of the new ones (which all seem to have the wear marks more or less in the same place!)Not so with this one as i think the relicing is almost as good as a masterbuilt. Anyway im babbling so i had better tell you what it is!This is a Fender custom shop USA 1952 telecaster heavy relic with a premium lightweight ash body (weighs just over 7 lbs!) serial no. R 12226It is all original and has had no modifications. It has a nitro cell lacquer finish over (what i feel is anyway!) the only color a tele should be finished in - butterscotch blonde .Relics are a matter of taste but this guitar (if you like relics? - i do!) is a work of art - it looks like its been dragged thru a hedge backwardsdropped out of the gig van a few times and then belt buckled to death on the back - an unbelievable attention to detail on this one! Then to top it all when you plug it in (acoustically it rings like a bell) it sounds absolutely wonderful! To say the body is resonant is an understatement ! It is also extremely versatile featuring a factory fitted 4 way pup selectorthat gives you far more options over a standard tele switch. Position one is bridge - positions 2 + 3 are series/parallel - 4 is neck on its own- dont worry the classic tele `quack` is here but more besides! The neck is lovely comfy `c` shape (not too fat or thin) and the fretboard shows all the custom shop wear marks replicating years of playing- a joy to play! . There is a tiny amount of fret wear but nothing to `fret over` - (Get it? sorry! - lol) The guitar comes with a fender custom shop g and g tweed case* and the certificate and some case candy - *there is some discoloration in the case - plse see pic.Since brexit (and i think fender have had a recent price increase ) these now seem to be selling for around £2700 -3k (new). My buy it now is a lot less than that and i still think my guitar wipes the floor with the relicing on the new ones! *Postage to mainland uk includes insurance and is £35 - postage to europe and south ireland is £80 but please read the note below!!!!*Please note I am unable to post until april the 5th so this item for the next 2 weeks at least is collection only im afraid - after that i will be offering postage to the uk and europe again. Thanks for looking and if you have any `questions` plse text me on 07907 572535 - not interested in trades or swaps - sorryI have included a pic of the fender custom shop traveller spec sheet if you want more specifics - hope you can see it okPaul
