Travel back in time with this vintage acoustic guitar. Made at the old Gretsch factory in Brooklyn, New York, it's a 1964 Gretsch Sun Valley, model 6010. Serial number 63164. I got it from the family of the original owner, Aunt Mary. She played it as a teenager then for years in church. It comes in the original case, which is in poor condition. Two of the three case hinges are broken and the case handle is missing. The case does have some charming 1960s stickers and painting on it.      It has a nice big 15-3/4" lower bout. 25-3/8" scale. Two-ply top binding. Back binding and peghead binding. Ornamental backstripe. It does have fingerboard and fret wear. There is ordinary play wear all over. Capo gouges on the back of the neck. Strum wear around the sound hole. The action is higher than I like: 11/64" at the 12th fret. The saddle could come down maybe 1/32", but that would still put the action at 10/64". So, if you want lower action, it will need a neck reset. Truss rod works. I just put new strings on it and love the way it sounds. It's a sweet old All-American guitar.                          If you do make an offer during business hours, please know that I typically respond to offers within the hour. Questions?      It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 46"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
