ITEM DESCRIPTION The Crescent Cymbals brand was launched in 2012 by Cymbal Masters, a company founded by drummers Michael Vosbein, Stanton Moore, Jeff Hamilton, and Bill Norman. In January 2015, the company Cymbal Masters and the brand Crescent Cymbals were sold to Sabian, who assumed all ongoing operations of the Crescent brand under the Sabian umbrella.
The Elements series represent the first release following the partnership with Sabian. Hand crafted to Crescent specs, this series offers the versatility of more power without sacrificing the nuanced articulation of hand hammered cymbals. Raw un-lathed hammered bells yield clear tonal projection favored for contemporary musical settings.MY TAKE ON IT/RECOMMENDATIONS At first, I was skeptical about the Crescent relaunch. But after trying out several Crescent prototypes at the Sabian factory, I was convinced that there was something really special here. The Turkish vibe is there, but now with a more modern flair. At Drum Center of Portsmouth, it’s important to us that you get the products that are right for your needs. We truly believe that a strong relationship with a well respected retailer is one of the most valuable tools a drummer can have in his arsenal.
