Long story short: Gibson sent this Les Paul HD.6X Pro-Digital guitar to an acquaintance of mine (as it happens, a famous classic rock guitarist) in 2006, who put it immediately into storage - and then forgot about it. A couple of weeks ago, sorting through his storage, he found it again, and gave it to me. While I sincerely appreciated the gesture, I have too many guitars myself, so (with his permission) I'm putting it up for sale here. It has literally never been played by either of us. It is basically mint, exactly as it was the day it left the Gibson factory. About the Gibson Les Paul HD.6X Pro-Digital guitar:This is an interesting and rare guitar. It combines the standard Les Paul pickup system (that is, it's a normal Gibson Les Paul), but also has an additional hexaphonic pickup and jack, so that the user can control individual strings, etc. It also comes with Ethernet capability. (If you go to the Gibson website and type in Les Paul HD.6X Pro-Digital, you can find the extensive company description of everything this guitar can do). The body has also been chambered so it's nice and relatively light - about five pounds. The Gibson Les Paul HD.6X Pro-Digital Guitar retails for $4,999.99, I'm knocking $600 bucks off, and I'll consider respectable offers. And by the way, to whoever buys it, I'll reveal which famous classic rock guitarist this used to belong to : )Comes with the original hard case and the original Hitron Ethernet breakout box (mint condition). The serial number is 031760629.
