These are the first SCA preamps I built (a few years after finishing my broadcast technician diploma) for my own personal use.  These were my first foray into building equipment. One had to be repaired, as the pads melted off when replacing a resistor so the replacement had its leads extend over to the components it connects to (i.e. the resistors that are next to it on either side- refer to one of the photos posted: it's between the gain resistor network and the microphone transformer on one of the modules). Also- the Bourns pot for the front Trim was acting finicky on one of the units so I've replaced them (now with the proper logarithmic type the kits originally came with) on both modules. The pads came off (as the TRIM pots were removed twice); nonetheless the new ones are soldered securely to the traces (see photos) and were checked for proper continuity. Both were always installed in the same CH01 chassis and were used for less than a week total (hours of them actually having been powered over the passed nine years I've owned them).  They were installed with six other modules so I rarely used them- as I needed to have all eight preamps powered (even if I was only using one or two of them). I used them primarily for D.I. bass with my Tech 21 Bass Driver D.I. pedal and with condenser microphones. They're both Rev. 3.0 and include the original BOM and schematics (for both)- along with the building instructions that were printed and used when I originally got the kits.
They're both calibrated to the same voltage (23.9V) at the collector. Price is for both modules (i.e. I'm not selling them separately).Note that I'm a technician with over a decade's worth of work experience in broadcast television, and also having refurbished & repaired mixers, synthesizers, guitar amps and other musical equipment. These modules are the "leftovers" from a run of preamp modules I built to be traded or sold.  That is: any superficial flaw doesn't effect the actual functionality of the preamp (as one of them had to have an output transformer wire heat shrunk- as it was frayed: refer to the photos).
Thus far- I've built 2 CH01-KAs, 6 A12s, 3 N72s, 4 T15s,  3 C84s, and 2 D11s from scratch, along with installing a pre-built J99 into a PC-01 Oneshot chasis.  Furthermore: I've racked quite a few other preamps from Quad Eight, Spectra Sonics, MAP, and Melcor.  The amount of hours of use these modules have seen (along with having new TRIM pots) makes me want to clarify them as "New (Other)" but they still saw a few hours of use so they're listed as "Refurbished".NOTE THIS LISTING IS FOR 2 (TWO) N72 MODULES!!!
