Azumi AZ2000 is an open hole flute with b-foot joint. It is a "step-up" flute with a powerful ALTUS HEAD joint - Britania Silver .958 - NOT sterling silver (higher silver content than sterling silver which is at .925). When I purchased this flute, I was told that the head joint lip plate cut is Z-cut - but not confirmed. In any case, it plays with a huge sound and clear-dark tone. It plays like an Altus flute (907) for the fraction of the cost. The body, foot and keys are silver plated. The pads are in very good condition and it has been checked by a technician a few months ago Jan. 2017. My opinion is that it plays better than the Yamaha 481II, a comparable priced flute. I do not see any dents or dings - and the wear is very minimal. Please ask all questions as there is no return but I am a flutist so I know it plays beautifully - I would not sell junk to anyone. It comes with a cleaning rod and very new looking case and case cover as shown.
