It was founded by Trevor Austin (father of Paul) who was previously a euphonium player in the Horse Guards (and played on horseback at the Queen’s Coronation). Following long service in the Salvation Army as a player and conductor, his reputation led to requests to supply instruments around the UK and overseas.
