Larrivee 00-09 As a young builder, Jean Larrivee gambled that a classical-style symmetrical bracing pattern might result in more balanced tone when used to build a steel-string guitar. He was, of course, correct, and Larrivee guitars ever since have been famous for their impeccable attention to balance. This impressive instrument is a hard-to-find Larrivee small body guitar built in 1991, projecting significant low end for its size. After producing the Laviree 00-09 from the 1970s until the 1990s, Larrivee made only a limited run of this model in recent years. Most of these you'll find (if you can find them) are subtly different in some way, with respect to aesthetics such as the binding, pickguard or headstock border. With a wide-open top and excellent bass response, this sought after Larrivee model is worth a serious look! This Larrivee 00-09 is sweet sounding 12-fret guitar, with a well balanced bass to treble response. Larrivee guitars known for having a uniquely powerful voice, highly articulate, and exceptionally dynamic. This Larrivee comes equipped with a LR Baggs Element Active Pickup system. Unlike typical undersaddle acoustic guitar pickups that are dependent on string compression for their sound, the Element was engineered to mirror the soundboard’s actual movement as you play. At the heart of the pickup, a flexible film sensor only 2 thousandths of an inch thick picks up the guitar’s most delicate nuances. Tracking the motion of the top rather than a direct string attack suppresses “quack” caused by compression and unlocks the Element’s unrivaled dynamic range. The pickup’s minimalist construction lessens any influence on the acoustic properties and creates an intimate coupling between the pickup and guitar for the highest fidelity possible. This instrument is in Excellent Condition with some light pick scratches on the pickguard as well as a few very light and small dings on the top. Most of which are near the upper bout. There are also two very small surface cracks. One is on the back of the guitar on the lower bout on the treble side and the other on the top on the lower bout just to the right of the center seam. Includes Hardshell Case.Features :
