Here is a rare, Newburgh-issued, Steinberger GP2S in black with "S"-trem and premium active EMG pickups. This guitar was just fully restored and set-up by Jeff, who was the former head of production at the Steinberger Sound factory. Jeff dressed and mirror-polished the frets, rebuilt the "S"-trem and serviced the electronics. Jeff rebuilt the original "S"-trem with new bearings and spring and also burnished the roller saddles so that it now performs perfectly and returns to zero as originally designed. The pots were cleaned and a new 3-way toggle switch was installed. There was an additional strap-button added at one time, plus there are some minor scuffs (see photos), but nothing that affects the playability or performance of this great guitar. The Steinberger logo on the pickguard has some wear, but otherwise this guitar is in excellent condition. This GP2S was just serviced by the world's top Steinberger tech, so it now plays and performs as well as (or probably better than) the day that it left the factory.This Steinberger GP2S guitar will ship in a new HeadlessUSA black gig-bag with its correct "S"-trem arm, a new black cotton strap, an extra set of strings, and a copy of Jeff's work-order.
