This is a Fender guitar that I basically had upgraded and customized over the years. Everything was installed professionally. This was my number 1 guitar for awhile and I played it quite a bit. It is in good shape though with a few small dings here and there. I will try and show everything in the pics. The upgraded gear rundown:The BodyThis is a Fender strat that came out of the Mexico factory in 2000. The only thing left though from that is the body. It is an amazing and rare one piece body which is why I kept it and did all the upgrades to it. The NeckI had a Fender licensed Moses graphite neck installed. Here is a bit about that. Delivers excellent stability, swell, and sustain. The Moses Graphite MSGF Graphite Stratocaster Neck has an integrated graphite fingerboard, and a black, wear-resistant, non-sticky graphite finish. All Moses neck models feature 'fine tune' truss rod systems. Moses necks deliver excellent swell and sustain, a strong fundamental, and increased, even harmonics.Graphite necks feel smooth to your fingers and don't get sticky. They absorb less vibrations than wood necks and allow you to select which frequencies you want to use and shape to find your sound. Tired of readjusting your instrument's neck? The stiffness of the graphite neck also results in amazing sustain and stability. To go with the neck I went with Grover tuners. The PickupsI went with the EMG DG20 David Gilmour set. They are really amazing and make this guitar sing. You can read more below but the 2 "tone" knobs are not tone but one is a presence control and the other is a mid feq scoop. There is a compartment routed in the back for easy access to the 9v battery for these active pickups. Here is a bit about those. EMG SA pickupsThe EMG SA is an active single coil loaded with an Alnico V bar magnet that provides a vintage Strat single coil sound: bright, airy, with a rich bottom end. With internal shielding and a low impedance preamp, you get virtually noiseless operation at a higher output level so that all the tone makes it to your amp. Additionally, the Alnico V bar magnet allows for the output to remain balanced during string bends, and makes for a playability and reliability that is unrivaled. The creamy mid-range warmth and sublime blues tones are clear, strong and expressive, and allow you to reach from classic and clean, to rowdy and raunchy. "Strat Presence Control"The SPC or "Strat Presence Control" is often called the fat control. The original intent of the SPC was to turn the tone of a single-coil pickup into a dual-coil. This is accomplished by boosting the gain in a broad mid-band fashion and reducing the highs. The result is a fatter, louder tone from any single coil pickup, but you can also use it on a humbucking to give you a high output, really fat tone that's great for slide guitar.EXG Guitar ExpanderFor flexibility in tone at your fingertips look to the EXG Guitar Expander. The frequency response of the EXG is similar to normal guitar amp equalization. The lows and highs are boosted while the midrange is dipped out. The EXG is great for creating a fuller tone that doesn't get muddy, while keeping it clean and clear, letting your guitar stand out in the mix.The Bridge This has a L.R.Baggs X-Bridge with the CTRL-X onboard preamp/mixer. Really great bridge and adds another whole dimension to the guitars possible tonal output. Basically there is a 3 way toggle switch for (Mags only, Blend of mags and piezo, Piezo only) there is an added "tone" knob on the guitar that is right next to the volume knob and it is the piezo volume blend. There is also a small push switch that will make the guitar put out stereo (mags - piezo) or just a mono blend. The input jack is a stereo jack that handles a standard 1/4" mono cable or a stereo trs cable. The piezo pickups and preamp require a 9v as well so there is a second 9v compartment on the back of the guitar for that. Here is a bit about the x-bridge and ctrl-x. The LR Baggs X-Bridge is a great sounding bridge even without the pickups, and its special piezo crystal employs 2 deflection modes to give you shimmering highs and rich lows. Its output level is comparable to that of a stock Strat and it will plug directly into most guitar amps with fine results. Its tremolo is provided with a Delrin arm bushing for silky smooth operation. Drops onto the posts of any American Standard Strat The LR Baggs CTRL-X Preamp has an onboard mixer that combines with their X-Bridge for Strat-style. Now you can mix piezo acoustic guitar sounds with your electric guitar's passive magnetics. CTRL-X actually turns your guitar into a state-of-the-art acoustic/electric hybrid at a fraction of the usual cost. The CTRL-X preamp installs easily and unobtrusively under your guitar's pickguard in any standard Fender Strat. The LR Baggs CTRL-X preamp features a special replacement jack for mono/stereo output and on/off switching and push button select for mono or stereo operation. Match level with your existing magnetic pickups using the CTRL-X preamp's internal volume trim.Comes with a TKL hardcase. The string ends on the tuners have worn through the fabric on the inside. The tolex on the outside has several nicks and scrapes. The latches and handle are good. This is a used case but still does its job of protecting the guitar. I also will throw in the strap which has Dunlop strap locks on it. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE BEFORE BUYING. I'd love to have a smooth transaction and avoid any returns or issues.THANKS!
