Prewar BACON FF3 "PROFESSIONAL" BANJO MANDOLIN , 10" internal resonator model I am offering, for your kind consideration, the Prewar BACON "PROFESSIONAL" BANJO MANDOLIN shown in these photos. From a new england estate this 10" diameter PROFESSIONAL   mando-banjo with original calfskin head is pretty swell looking to be sure. Action is high...playable by country-boy standards but more than likely would require a shim or neck reset to bring it down to acceptable playing height for us city folk. The instrument retains its original fittings including the cloud tailpiece , open gear tuners and bacon bridge (unmarked as best I can tell). The armrest is marked "Elton" and the dowel stick , which normally has company markings and serial number, is unmarked and likely an old replacement....As is common with these old "professional" models there is finish checking in the dark backside veneer...even a couple of small splits (one above the bass side F hole and a couple near the tailpiece area). Nothing serious and this ol gal comes with the original endbolt ,neckbrace and matching hardware..a good solid prewar professional mando-banjo with a pot that would make a great little 5-string. No case but will be packed securely.
