This is an auction for a 2017 Rusch Guitars Garcia Alligator Strat " 'Gator ". This is an accurate reproduction of Jerry Garcia's first real real customized guitar - (Wolf and Tiger followed) . I have been putting these Gators together for a few years and have some really nice reviews and testimonials for them. This is a special Strat with a special sound, due to the custom parts and assembly. There are some nice live videos of them being played on Youtube, most notably, Stu Allen playing with Phil Lesh and Friends "sugaree" from 9/16 - sounds dead-on to Jerry's Gator tones. Clean powerful and focused. This is not a typical Strat. I decided not to heavily relic the guitar, but rather have a few "relic" parts added - strap buttons, 1/4" jack plate, neck plate. The brass parts have a light lacquer coat as to prevent corrosion. On to the specs.
