OLD VIOLIN ----- high end violin labeled made by George L Dykes, Leeds, pupil of Paul Bailly, and some other smaller writing I cannot read.  I have no clue who Dykes was, or is, but the Baillys were pupils of Vuillaume.   If anyone has info on Dykes, please message me.     The violin is fully lined, has 4 corner blocks and is pinned in the end pin block and at the neck.  There are no repairs or loose seams, the peg box is excellent, no cracks, the pegs turn very smoothly and hold well.  The scroll work is very nice.  The varnish is about 95%, nice patina with some wear.  Full size 4/4, it measures 23-9/16" long, the back is 14-1/8", the upper bout is 6-5/8"  and the lower bout is 8-1/16".   I added brand new D'Addarrio Zyex strings and a Wittner carbon fiber type tail piece with built in fine tuners.  Professionally set up and ready to play.     The violin almost sings itself, excellent response, beautiful strong voice, slightly dark.  Great volume and projection.  This violin is a real good player.    Your violin will be expertly packaged and promptly shipped.  Please see my seller's feedback and make your purchase with absolute confidence.  I accept returns.  I shipp USPS ground select or USPS Priority, your choice.  Thank you
