This is a 2009 reissue 1959 Gretsch Country Gentleman with a swivelling bigsby handle and a nice subdued finish, with some nice flame on the front and back. There is some tarnishing on the gold bridge from palm-muting and light fret wear on the 2nd and 3rd frets, under the treble strings. It's tough to photograph small marking such as these with an iPhone, but in one picture (the last picture) the light hit just right, making it look much, much worse than it is. You absolutely can not feel any fret wear or grooves while playing, even if you are trying to. If this does turn out to be your #1 player, I would think you'll get a few more years out of it before re-fretting those two frets. That said I have lowered the price on this guitar because of that. The body is super clean, not a mark on it. The neck is dead straight. I used this guitar for travis picking, and this guitar has only been played in my smoke-free home.Includes the original hard shell case (which looks new), and a pack of D'Addario 11-49 Nickel wound strings. I have sold/shipped a few Martins, a couple Gretsch guitars, a Santa Cruz and a Merrill. This guitar will be packed carefully.
