I am with mixed feelings and sadness selling my 2000 Taylor "Kegends of the Fall" anniversary edition 314KCE guitar. This guitar was the 300-series anniversary model in the year 2000 and that is why it is koa not mahogany like most 300-series Taylors. There were I believe only 50 of them ever made and I've never seen another one on eBay – believe me I've looked! This guitar has been my "number one" for many years – I was the second owner in 2000, I bought it on eBay that year for $2400, I believe the retail was 2700 but you can check with Taylor on that. I never regretted it for a second. I spent the next 15 years being a touring and recording songwriter with this guitar. I've had a handful of other Taylors since, bought and sold, and this is the only one I've held onto all this time. But I've made a career change and I don't play that much anymore and it doesn't make sense to have all these guitars around. I sold my 712, and now selling this one. I've decided to keep my GS7. The main reason is that this one is not doing very well in my climate of Arizona. I lived in Seattle for a long time and the guitar did beautifully there, but here in Arizona even being humidified, the top cracked. You can see the crack in the photo, and I'm happy to send more photos and answer questions about the crack. It's been repaired by someone in Colorado who specializes in this and he says it shows because of the finishes Taylor uses so he did not try to make it so that it doesnt show. So it shows, but it IS fixed and he stands by his work. You would be welcome to talk to him and of course you could get the guitar checked and worked on by anyone you wanted – the guitar is valuable in and of it self because of being the anniversary edition and the woods used, but it IS repaired. The thinner top is probably why this guitar didn't do as well as my others in the dry weather, but also what makes it so responsive and beautiful. One of the nice things is that I made three CD recordings with this guitar so I can connect you to listen to them online if you would like to hear what the guitar sounds like.  Just ask (ask for more pics as well). It's truly a beautiful beautiful sound and very rich and bright both. Did awesome in DADGAD as well as standard tuning, and recorded beautifully. Strummed and finger style . I have many more pictures that I posted – eBay limits to 12 – and I'm happy to share more via email. The guitar has a few other blemishes as you would expect from a 17-year-old guitar. The plastic binding has some bubbling. The back is in great shape – that stripe down the middle is actually wood grain, it is NOT a crack. The neck is very nice. The black molded case is fairly beat up on the outside but it does the job and is nice on the inside. Please ask any questions, I would really love this totally beloved guitar to go to someone who will really appreciate how special it is.
