He's been riffing, wailing, dive bombing and shredding for decades, and he doesn't show any signs of slowing down. This signature Ouija axe of his from ESP is one of a limited run of 100 from ESP's Custom Shop in 2009 ( 50 in Black, 50 in white ). In short, it's one of the most metal and most unique guitars in our shop. It has tone that will satisfy metal players across the board, whether you're a shred nut or more of a riffer. The neck is thin and fast, but unlike a lot of metal guitars, it's also very comfortable. It never feels like you're playing a toy. A virtually non-existent neck heel makes for totally unlimited upper register access, and neck-thru design creates days of sustain. And of course, the graphics on this axe are totally unparalleled. The mirror inlays and the Ouija board text that runs across the pickups are totally unlike anything we've seen. We've gone over the setup and have made sure the neck is right where it needs to be and the intonation is dialed in. Perfect for anyone who's looking for custom shop quality on a totally unique axe that'll hold up to every demand you throw at it.Item DetailsThis ESP Custom Shop KH-2 Kirk Hammett Ouija Signature features an alder body with a white finish and a custom Ouija board design across the entire front of the guitar. Check out the way the text flows seamlessly over the pickups. The extra thin U neck is maple, and it has an ebony fretboard with 24 extra jumbo frets. For inlays, you'll find mirror moon/star designs, which are totally unlike anything else on the market. Electronically, this guitar is ready to do some damage. It's decked out with an EMG 81 in the bridge and an EMG 60 in the neck. These pickups provide gobs of blistering metal tone, but they also keep things balanced in every register, so you'll have less EQ troubles. The bridge is an original Floyd Rose locking tremolo, and it's working great. Other features include a reverse headstock, Gotoh tuners and, black hardware and neck-thru-body design. This guitar comes with its original certificate of authenticity, and it's hand signed by Kirk Hammett himself!
