This is a Yamaha YEP201 3-valve euphonium (serial number: 485018). The instrument has been used on occasion as a demonstration instrument. The YEP-201 is an excellent alternative for younger players, or when budget is a strong consideration. It is lighter weight than more advanced models making it easier to hold and play, but still features a big full sound, and easy response. Honed valves The precise fit between valve casings and pistons after honing means no air leakage. Pressure formed tubing Perfectly rounded tubing results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance. Laser-fused pluzuma welded bell A high-energy laser fuses the brass together for a virtually seamless bell, which allows continuous even vibrations. Intonation The excellent intonation of the YEP-201 helps to foster a feel for correct pitch in beginning players. Response The responsiveness of the YEP-201 assists beginning players in learning the phrasing of the euphonium. We also stock a large selection of alternative mouthpieces as well as brass accessories which are available on request. The instrument comes supplied with Yamaha’s starter pack of accessories which includes a polishing cloth, valve oil and slide cream. Condition The instrument has been checked over by our experienced on-site brass technicians who report that it is in excellent condition mechanically. Cosmetically, the instrument also appears to be perfect. The mouthpiece, although used is in perfect condition and has been cleaned and polished. The case functions perfectly and is in very good cosmetic condition. Returns/Warranty If on initial inspection you are disappointed in any way, you may return it and receive a full refund. You are most welcome to visit and test the instrument in our playing room prior to making a commitment. We will offer the instrument with a full mechanical warranty for 24 months but only a limited cosmetic warranty- limited to significant issues. Delivery Inland UK shipping: FREEIt will be well packed before shipping, sent by DPD/Interlink courier, and will require a signature on delivery (next day service).
