Vintage 1967 Marshall JTM 100 Plexi Super PA 3" Mains Stack Major TONE MONSTER!!
Estimated price for orientation: 3 050 $
Category: Guitar Amplifiers
Class:
Description Brand: Marshall Exact Year: 1967
This is a fantastic Marshall JTM 100 Super PA head from 1967. If you aren't familiar with these, they are essentially the same head as a JTM 100 Super Lead, but with two additional channels. These were used a lot by THE WHO, JIMI HENDRIX, AND FREE, have a look at the pictures. It is a fantastic sounding head, and is VERY LOUD. The preamp for inputs 3 and 4 is disconnected,it was when I got the head, eliminating a current draw and making this sound exactly like the Super Lead. The plexi in front is in good condition with no cracks, and the back is the early white or cream back that the heads had prior to about mid 1967. The preamp tubes are old Mullards and the power tubes are new Genalex Gold Lion KT88s and have just been biased. There are LOTS of tone filled mustard caps in this bad boy, and yes the electrolytics have been changed. Please look at the pics and ask reasonable questions before you bid. There are no returns with this beauty, I wouldn't trust shipping it two directions. If you'd like to pick it up in Los Angeles I would love it, otherwise I'll be shipping it FedEx ground.
