This is an original modified early edition AKG C12 microphone. New power supply to power 2 microphones. The tube was inverted to get the tube closer to the capsule and point to point silver solder was used to lower the noise floor. It was auditioned with 8 other C12's that had the same modifications and sounded so far superior to the others that instead of buying 2 "matching pairs" I only purchased 1. The original owner was a Grammy winning classical music recording engineer in Europe. The best sounding C12 ever heard hands down. The microphone has recently been serviced by David Brown. You can contact him at microphonerepairLA@gmail
