For sale today is a set of Yamaha Recording Custom Drums in a rare Deep Aqua finish. This color had a short lived run, and is hard to find. For their age, they're in excellent condition! YESS mounts on all of the toms, which gives incredible sustain serves as a rock solid mounting system. Sizes (Depth x Head size):* 9" x 10" Rack Tom* 10" x 12" Rack Tom* 12" x 14" Hanging Floor Tom* 14" x 16" Hanging Floor Tom* 16" x 22" Bass Drum* 5" x 14" Snare DrumHardware included:* Bass Drum Tom mount - holds two toms + a boom cymbal arm * Floor Tom Stand - holds 14 and 16 toms + a boom cymbal arm* One Straight Cymbal Stand - Heavy Duty* One Boom Cymbal Stand - Heavy DutyAlso Included in this package are hard shelled Protechtor Cases ( now Gator Cases)
These cases are blue hard plastic, and they're really durable. The handles are solid on them, and they have clickable straps that keep them closed. They will offer solid protection for these drums. You can see some general images of what the cases look like in my photos, but they're all in great condition. * 10" Tom Case* 12" Tom Case * 14"Tom Case* 16" Tom Case* 22" Bass Drum Case* 14" Snare Drum CaseNOT INCLUDED IN THE KITBass drum pedal, hi hat stand, and cymbals are not for sale as part of this package.** They were set up for display purposes only. These drums feature all birch shells, high tension lugs, and an amazing wood finish. They record beautifully as the name suggests, and are very well built. They tune up easily as well... all of the hardware is top notch. The lugs and casings thread easily and solidly, so you don't have that feeling that you've cross-threaded a tension rod.
The drums will ship with Remo Pinstripes and a Coated Ambassador on the snare drum. These heads are older, but they still have enough life in them for a while. One of the greatest benefits these drums have is to really adapt to a wide range of drum heads. Single or double ply, coated or clear - you can really hear the character of each head type in this drum set. I've purchased these drums in 1996 from the previous owner, who likely played them very little. They've been in a smoke free, air conditioned environment all of their lives. I've loved these drums, and made every attempt to keep the chrome polished and in great condition. There are a few small dings on the kit, which are noted in the photographs.
